Some 150 students from Taylor’s College came together as a unit, volunteering their services for a good cause. Their goal was to raise RM30,000 worth of cash in order for them to pack 30,000 meals for the victims of the Sabah Earthquake and Chin Refugees. These students took a day off on a weekend to spend their time and effort packing meals and transporting them into a carrier to be delivered to the victims.
These group of dedicated youths started planning for this campaign since October last year with an extensive amount of fund-raising activities lined up to achieve the targeted amount of RM30,000. Fund-raising events included Valentine’s Day Cookie Sales, Big Hug Sales, Class to Class Donations, T-Shirt sales and lastly e-photo album vouchers.
This initiative was in collaboration with Stop hunger Now Charitable Association, an NGO that provides hospitality relief for the needy and underprivileged community.
