Students’ Aspirations Fueled With Taylor’s College Scholarship

New Scholarship Scheme Receives Overwhelming Response from High Achievers

It was a day of pride and celebration for outstanding students after being awarded scholarships from leading pre-university education (Pre-U) provider Taylor’s College.

“Grateful would be the best word to describe my feelings. I was more than happy when I achieved 9 A+s in my SPM trial examination and successfully secured this full scholarship. I know I wanted to go to Australia and found out that the best course for this was the South Australian Matriculation Programme and the best college for this course is Taylor’s College,” explained 18 year old Shilpa Selvaraj, who is keen on a pursuing a course in engineering or psychology.

Taylor’s College scholarship and bursary offerings, which were revamped at the end of 2013, saw the introduction of a new scheme under the names Taylor’s Pre-U Scholarship and the Taylor’s Pre-U Bursary. This move aims to allow more students to enjoy the benefits of the scheme in order to support their academic aspirations.

“Scholarships are an important stepping stone for young talents to pursue their life aspirations. Through this new and improved scholarships scheme at Taylor’s College, more students can benefit from the learning skills, life skills as well leadership skills development here at Taylor’s College. This will go on to empower and equip them with the necessary capabilities when they go on to university and into the working world,” said Taylor’s College President, Mr. Lim Tou Boon.

Lim also added that the higher quantum of scholarships offered enabled Taylor’s College to offer more opportunities to students who achieved a spectrum of results to study at Taylor’s College.

These scholarships and bursaries are available to students of all nationalities in public, private and international schools in Malaysia who had sat for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or O-level examinations. Scholarships are available for the March/April and July intakes at the College.

Benefits under the new scholarship scheme included full scholarships and immediate fee waivers. Scholars will also be given opportunities to participate in the learning skills, life skills and leadership skills development programmes conducted at the College.
