Training at SACE Board, South Australia

Eleven SAM teachers from Taylor’s College Subang Jaya and Sri Hartamas joined a panel of external moderators selected by the SACE Board of South Australia in the final moderation of the college-based assessment components in Adelaide.

The purpose of the SACE Board of South Australia to include moderation as part of the examination process is to ensure the fulfilment of the performance standards and to assure the integrity of students’ results. The role of the moderators is to support the Board in this.

Teachers gained hands-on experience in the moderation process as well as familiarised themselves with the procedures involved. They also had the opportunity to work with other moderators from various schools and institutions under the tutelage of experienced senior moderators. A few rounds of sharing were later conducted with SAM colleagues.
